Dunn AC Limited was appointed by their client as the contractor to complete the installation of circa 275.0kW of comfort and critical cooling to a new office facility and sub station following the refurbishment of the site and occupancy of UKPN.
All redundant and failed systems present on site, mostly R407 and R22 systems, were decommissioned. The refrigerant was recovered into certificated cylinders and transported under a waste transfer note to the correct disposal facility. All redundant systems were de-installed and removed from site and disposed of correctly.
The majority of the systems that were installed into this site were removed from a seperate UKPN site elsewhere in London and transported and installed to the Notting Hill site.
The works involved the use of Scaffolding, Mobile towers and the use of a Böcker crane to assist in the lifting of plant to the roof area.
Dunn AC also carried out the rerouting of the mains water supplies from a tank fed system to a mains to allow suitable water pressure to the water closet facilities. This also included replacing all sanitary wear and fixtures and fittings.
This site was under the control of a project manager and was registered with the Considerate Contractor Scheme. All works was closely monitored as per risk assessment and method statements were followed and implemented as planned.
Full operation and maintenance manuals, test and commissioning certification and user training followed the successful completion.
